Soy Marinated Salmon

Even if you aren't lucky enough to have access to a grill in college...(frat house?)...you can still make this in the oven!


  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic paste

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1-4 Salmon fillets

  • Lime, cilantro, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, for serving (optional)


  1. Whisk together the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, chili garlic paste, and brown sugar.

  2. Place the salmon in a dish to marinate and pour over the soy sauce mixture.

  3. Let marinate, covered, in the fridge 2-24 hours.

  4. Grill to desired doneness or bake at 450º F for 12-15 minutes. Serve with limes, cilantro, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, if desired.
